... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 8 PM MST this
evening through Wednesday morning...

A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 8 PM MST this evening
through Wednesday morning.

* Impacts/timing: a long lasting snow producer is expected to
move into the area this evening and persisting through
Wednesday. There is high confidence in heavy mountain snow with
this event... but the snow levels will be on the rise through
the event. The lower valleys will begin as snow but will change
over to rain during the day Wednesday.

* Snow accumulations: mountains... 12 to 20 inches tonight
through Wednesday. Valleys... 4 to 8 inches tonight through
Wednesday.

* Locations impacted include... bad Rock Canyon... Essex... Highway
83 Bigfork to Swan Lake... Marias Pass... Polebridge

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
