... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MST this
evening...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MST this
evening.

* Impacts/timing: the long-lasting snow producer will persist
through this evening. While the mountains will receive heavy
snow through out this event... snow levels will be on the rise.
The lower valleys will begin as snow but will change over to
rain during the day today.

* Snow accumulations: mountains... an additional 5 to 10 inches
through this evening. Valleys... an additional 2 to 4 inches
through this afternoon.

* Locations impacted include... bad Rock Canyon... Essex... Highway
83 Bigfork to Swan Lake... Marias Pass... Polebridge

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
