... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT Friday...

A heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT Friday.

* Impacts/timing: very hot conditions will again develop across
the lower valleys of north central Idaho through Friday.

* Temperatures: temperatures are expected to soar into the 100 to
105 range today and Friday afternoon... except locally up to 110
in the lower Salmon River Valley and Hells Canyon.

* Locations impacted include... Camas Prairie... Grangeville and
vicinity... Greer grade... Highway 95 Slate Creek to Riggins...
White Bird grade

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Hot temperatures will create a situation in which heat
related illnesses and dehydration are possible. Drink plenty of
fluids... stay in an air- conditioned room... stay out of the sun...
and check up on relatives and neighbors.
